CLARKSBURG, WV — Harrison County Schools is investing $6 million in energy efficient lighting and HVAC upgrades across the county with the goal to save several more millions in electricity costs over the next 10 years.
Global Energy has nearly completed light replacement at Liberty and Robert C. Byrd high schools and hopes to finish up at North View Elementary this week, said Glenn Ackman, project manager.
“We are replacing 14,000 lights throughout the county,” Ackman said. “Teachers, custodians and principals have been fantastic to work with.”
